A short jaunt up the highway through Camp Pendleton brings us to the base of the famed Ortega Hwy.  Known to bikers locally and from afar, this is a beautiful wandering road that takes us through vistas and mountains to eventually descent 4000 ft to Lake Elsinore.

After a quick break, we continue onto Temecula and through wine country. An hour later we have descended another 4000 feet through the affectionately referred to spaghetti bowl and to our lunch destination in Palm Springs. After lunch we will explore the Cleveland National Forest as we make way towards our point of origin. This tour is a full day but covers a wide range of roads from great twist’s to nice straights that allow us to cruise at near highway speeds.
